Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a system and a method for starting a vehicle (100). The system comprises a prime mover (110), sensors (106), and a control unit (102) in the vehicle (100). The sensors (106) are configured to detect at least an internal temperature of the prime mover (110). The control unit (102) is configured to: receive the internal temperature from the sensors (106), determine whether the internal temperature is less than a threshold value, determine whether the prime mover (110) is currently in the gas or gasoline fuel mode, when the internal temperature is determined to be less than the threshold value, and automatically shift the fuel mode to the gasoline fuel mode, when the prime mover (110) is determined to be in the gas fuel mode. The prime mover (110) runs in the gasoline fuel mode to start the vehicle (100).
