Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Solar-Powered Sensor-Fusion Autonomous Waste Segregation, Composting and Collection Management The present invention concerns a sensor fusion-based solar-powered autonomous waste sorting, composting, and management system. The system comprises a waste receptacle unit, various sensors, an artificial intelligence processor unit, an automated sorting unit, individualized waste chambers, a composting unit, a solar photovoltaic power sub-system, a rechargeable battery system, and an Internet-of-Things (IoT) enabled monitoring module. These sensors collect data on images, weight, metal detection, moisture, fullness, composting conditions, and energy status of the collected wastes. The processor uses the data collected to perform waste classification using a sensor fusion based waste classification model and controls the direction of the conveyor or diverter accordingly, either towards composting or segregation chambers. Biodegradable waste is converted to compost under controlled temperature, moisture, and aeration conditions.
