Inventors include Dr Vandana Sharma; Lata Yadav; Dr Vidushi; and Indu Verma.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: To comprehensively monitor and manage the institutional water quality system, this research proposed an integrated system called the SWAN. This invention is composed of sensing network with self-calibrating multiparameter to constantly monitors water quality parameters of microbiological, chemical, and physical. This is achieved to ensure long term accuracy by cross-validation mechanisms. Edge computing tasks are performed by Intelligent Processing Unit (IPU) that includes validating data on real-time basis, adaptive compression, and local caching. Local caching is used to perform the network-independent operation. A central management system (CMS) performs predictive analytics to employs hybrid ML model along with statistical models. With non potable water, The Adaptive Water Remediation Classification Module (AWRCM) system determines intelligently remediation feasibility by targeted interventions. The non-remediable water is further classified by Zero Waste Water Management System (ZWWMS) system. This classification may be in different ways such like for industry, cleaning, and irrigation. The most efficient feature provided in this work is the framework for an automated response. This framework issues graduated responses. These responses are not only for the already but also for emergency shutdown. Zero water waste can be achieved through the proposed integrated approach.
