MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631073346 A) filed by Ganga Bhattacharjee; and Dr. Hari Om on June 12, 2026, for System And Method For Smart Decentralized Grievance Management Using Blockchain Ethereum With Uniqueness Verification And Off-Chain Data Storage.

Inventors include Ganga Bhattacharjee; and Dr. Hari Om.

The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: [05] The present invention discloses a system and method for a Secured and Authenticated Smart Complaint Desk integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain technologies for secure, transparent, and automated grievance redressal. The invention utilises blockchain-based wallet authentication with MetaMask to eliminate conventional password vulnerabilities and provide decentralised identity verification. Complaints submitted in natural language are processed using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques, including TF-IDF vectorisation and classification algorithms such as Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machines for automatic department categorisation. Complaint metadata, including complaint ID, timestamp, department assignment, and cryptographic hash, is securely stored on an Ethereum blockchain network to ensure immutability, auditability, and transparency. The system architecture integrates frontend interfaces, AI processing modules, backend workflow management, decentralised blockchain storage, and real-time complaint tracking mechanisms. The invention enhances efficiency, accountability, citizen trust, and transparency in public grievance management systems suitable for smart governance applications.
