Abstract: The present invention discloses a smart agricultural monitoring and crop protection system and method comprising a plant disease detection unit, a disease classification unit, a treatment recommendation unit, a real-time surveillance unit, an animal intrusion detection unit, an adaptive sound deterrence unit, and an edge computing unit. The plant disease detection unit generates a disease analysis dataset by extracting region-wise colour distribution, surface texture, and lesion boundary characteristics from a plant leaf image for disease identification. The treatment recommendation unit retrieves correlated treatment information corresponding to the identified disease category. The real-time surveillance unit continuously acquires field images for animal monitoring, while the animal intrusion detection unit identifies and validates animal intrusion events from successive image frames. The adaptive sound deterrence unit generates a corresponding audio response through a connected speaker system. The edge computing unit performs local image processing, intrusion recording, and coordinated operation of disease diagnosis and animal deterrence for continuous agricultural monitoring and crop protection.
