Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SINGLE-STAGE MIXING FOR PREPARATION OF RACING TYRE TREAD CAP RUBBER COMPOUND A single-stage mixing process for preparing rubber tread compounds having unusually high loadings of reinforcing filler, softener and resin simultaneously is disclosed. The mixing process comprises charging half portion of carbon black into a Banbury mixer followed by a rubber matrix, vulcanization activators, and other chemicals including wax and resin; charging remaining half portion of carbon black; feeding softener or process oil; performing a ram sweep followed by ram up, continuous mixing, and ram down; reducing the batch temperature to 100°C to 110°C and charging an anti-ageing chemical package along with sulphur and vulcanization accelerators; performing a ram sweep followed by ram up, continuous mixing, and ram down; and discharging the rubber compound from the Banbury mixer directly to a Twin Screw Sheeter in a consolidated form and without scattering; wherein the inner surface of the discharge door is free of stuck rubber compound or residue after discharge, permitting the discharge door to close automatically for the next batch without manual clearing.
