MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621100871 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Gandhinagar on August 20, 2026, for System And Method For Sequence-Dependent Mixed-Signal Physical Unclonable Function (puf).

Inventors include Prasad, Kailash; Pradhan; and Mekie, Joycee.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEQUENCE-DEPENDENT MIXED-SIGNAL PHYSICAL UNCLONABLE FUNCTION (PUF) The present disclosure relates to a sequence-dependent mixed-signal physical unclonable function (PUF) system (100). The system (100) comprises an SRAM array (102) including a plurality of SRAM cells arranged in rows and columns, an address decoder (104) configured to decode a digital challenge for selecting multiple wordlines, a plurality of wordline voltage generators (106) configured to generate discrete wordline voltages, a control logic circuit (108) configured to simultaneously activate the selected wordlines in successive sequence steps, and a plurality of voltage-to-time-to-digital converters (110) coupled to corresponding bitlines (112). Simultaneous activation of the selected wordlines produces analog bitline voltages that are converted into multi-bit digital outputs to generate a challenge-dependent response. The system enables sequence-dependent response generation from analog bitline discharge characteristics for hardware authentication and integrated circuit identification.
