The hardware processor (104) extracts linguistic features and calculates sentiment polarity values and weighted emotion scores for a plurality of emotion categories. The hardware processor (104) identifies abnormal sentiment patterns by tracking temporal variations in the sentiment polarity values over a time window and comparing against predefined threshold values. The hardware processor (104) generates alert notifications comprising geographical region identifiers and renders visualization data on a display device when the abnormal sentiment patterns are identified.
