Abstract: This document concerns a system and methodology for achieving self-adaptive control of the microclimates around roots in precision agriculture. In this system, there is a set of underground sensing nodes that will keep track of various soil properties like moisture content, soil temperature, nutrient level, and pH level. All data generated by the sensors will then be fed into the artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms in order to analyze the conditions of the roots and make predictions regarding the optimal environment for growth. After analysis, an adaptive controller will give commands to the irrigation system, nutrients system, and the temperature control devices. The system works in closed loop fashion, allowing constant monitoring and analysis of the environment around roots. Dynamic zoning, prediction, and connectivity with communication networks is also enabled. This allows for improved resource allocation and efficient crop production.
