Abstract: A system (100) for secure multi-stage Bluetooth Low Energy device association and authenticated communication includes a BLE peripheral device (106) configured to broadcast advertising packets, a mobile application (104) executing on a mobile device (102) configured to perform BLE scanning operations, and a device identifier storage (110) configured to cache a device identifier (112). A targeted device identification module (118) filters discovered BLE peripheral devices using proprietary identification parameters (120). A communication profile establishment module (122) establishes validated operational transmission configurations. A proprietary authentication module (124) performs application-layer authentication by exchanging proprietary authentication messages (126), wherein the BLE peripheral device (106) transitions into an operational state only upon successful authentication. An encrypted communication module (128) encapsulates application commands within proprietary encrypted message structures for secure data transmission. (Figure 1)
