Abstract: A system (100) and method for secure inter-process communication using ephemeral capability tokens and hardware-enforced isolation boundaries are disclosed. The system (100) comprises a memory (102) configured to store executable instructions, security policies, and capability records, and a processor (104) configured to execute the instructions. The processor (104) operates a communication module (106) for establishing communication among isolated processes, a capability generation module (108) for generating ephemeral capability tokens having temporary authorization attributes, an isolation enforcement module (110) for applying hardware- enforced isolation boundaries, an authentication and validation module (112) for verifying token validity, and a secure communication management module (114) for monitoring and controlling communication sessions. The system dynamically authorizes inter-process communication based on context-aware capability tokens while preventing unauthorized access, privilege escalation, token misuse, and cross-process interference. The disclosed approach enhances security, scalability, and confidentiality across distributed computing environments, virtualized systems, containers, trusted execution environments, and multi-tenant infrastructures.
