Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Secure Federated Cyberattack Prevention in Smart Manufacturing Networks An anomaly detection system and method for secure federation and autonomous cyberattack prevention within smart manufacturing industrial networks is provided. The system involves the use of distributed IIoT devices, industrial sensing and monitoring modules, federated-learning algorithms, AI/ML-based anomaly-intelligence engines, blockchain validation infrastructures, and autonomous cybersecurity orchestration modules connected via secured communication networks. The system receives continuous acquisition of industrial-network traffic, operational logs, communication processes, and cybersecurity events from various smart manufacturing industrial environments. The received cybersecurity events undergo anomaly filtration, encryption validation, and cybersecurity features extraction to detect malicious communication activities, insider threats, malware infection, adversarial attacks, and industrial network-compromise situations. The system also employs federated learning, predictive cyber-threat intelligence, digital twins of industrial security, and blockchain validation mechanisms in its adaptive anomaly classification and cyberattack prevention capabilities.
