Abstract: The present invention relates to system (100) and a method for secure and reliable data management in an agriculture environment, the system (100) comprising: agricultural field Internet of Things (IoT) sensors (200) deployed in an agricultural field; a tokenless Helium hotspot mesh layer (300) comprising of IoT network controllers (400) wirelessly coupled to the agricultural field IoT sensors (200) to receive the captured agricultural field metrics; a practical byzantine fault tolerance (PBFT) consensus mechanism (500) executed collaboratively across the IoT network controllers (400); a network server (600) communicatively coupled to the tokenless Helium hotspot mesh layer (300) configured to prepare structured transaction proposals; and a hyperledger fabric enterprise blockchain (700) communicatively coupled to the network server (600) configured to execute smart contracts to validate transaction proposals, enforce access control, and store the validated agricultural field metrics and multi-hop routing paths in a database.
