Inventors include Devid Thakuria; Deepika Bhati; Ishan Kumar; Manju Verma; and Sheenam Naaz.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A system [100] converts a natural-language query into an executable SQL query for Relational Database [108]. System [100] comprises a Database Schema Module [102], a Schema Linking Module [103], a Query Planning Module [104], an SQL Generation Module [105], an SQL Validation Module [106], and a Database Execution Module [107]. The Schema Linking Module [103] identifies database tables and database columns. The Query Planning Module [104] generates structured query plan representing intended operation. The SQL Generation Module [105] constructs a query-generation context comprising the natural-language query, identified database tables, database columns, and structured query plan, and uses a parameter-efficiently adapted transformer model to generate the executable SQL query. The SQL Validation Module [106] validates the executable SQL query before execution.
