The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a smart BioEcoFork system for non-invasive, real-time monitoring of saliva- based biochemical parameters during natural food consumption. As illustrated in FIGURE 2, the system comprises a biodegradable fork (203) provided with a pH sensor (201) and a glucose sensor (202), positioned to contact saliva (200) when the fork is placed in a user’s mouth. The pH sensor (201) and the glucose sensor (202) generate electrical signals corresponding to saliva pH and saliva glucose concentration, respectively. The system further comprises signal-conditioning circuitry, an analog-to-digital converter, a microcontroller, a Bluetooth Low Energy communication module, a power source, and an external electronic device configured to process, transmit, display, analyse, and store biochemical data. As illustrated in FIGURE 1, the method (100) includes eating using the smart fork (101), contacting the sensors with saliva (102), detecting biochemical markers (104), reading and processing sensor signals (106, 108), determining Bluetooth availability (111), transmitting the biochemical data (112), receiving and analysing the data through a mobile application (114, 116), displaying real-time results (118), storing the data (120), generating dietary insights and trends (122), and completing or repeating the monitoring cycle (124). The disclosed system enables passive biochemical monitoring without blood sampling or deliberate saliva collection while supporting biodegradable and environmentally sustainable utensil construction.
