MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611110319 A) filed by Sharda University on September 14, 2026, for System And Method For Route Optimization And Automated Safety Response Using A Dynamic Geospatial Safety Representation.

Inventors include Tanuj Kumar Dixit; Jai Adhana; Gourav Sorout; and Dr. Anjum Mohd Aslam.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A navigation system (100) comprises processors (101), memory (102), Spatial Database (103), a Safety Representation Generation Module (104), a Dynamic Geospatial Safety Representation (105), Route Optimization Module (106), and Safety-State Control Module (110). Safety Representation Generation Module (104) generates the Dynamic Geospatial Safety Representation (105) associating Safety Values with Navigable Segments. The Route Optimization Module (106) uses the Dynamic Geospatial Safety Representation (105) to generate a Candidate Navigation Route (107) and select a Selected Navigation Route (109) satisfying a Predefined Safety Criterion. During navigation, the Safety-State Control Module (110) evaluates a condition using Dynamic Geospatial Safety Representation (105) and, upon a risk-trigger condition, transitions from a Navigation State to an Automated Safety-Response State (111) and initiates a Safety-Response Procedure (112).
