The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REVERSE VENDING AND VERIFIED RECYCLABLE-MATERIAL PROCESSING The present invention relates to an intelligent reverse vending system and method. According to one aspect, the invention relates to a system comprising a receptacle configured to receive a recyclable article and obtain multi-sensor measurements that describe physical properties and material characteristics of the article. A processing unit integrates the measurements for determining a material classification, a material quality condition, a recyclability condition and a material authenticity condition. The possibility of error in classification of the material may result in selective obtaining of an additional measurement and/or inspection location. Upon determining these conditions, the article is either accepted, rejected or sent to a chosen material processing operation. The invention further includes a verification station configured to authenticate physical processing of an accepted article prior to approving a corresponding value for transaction. Using the fingerprint of the article obtained from its characteristic parameters, the system detects duplicate, counterfeit and manipulated deposits.
