Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system for remote Internet of Things (IoT) device control. The system comprises an IoT device configured with Bluetooth communication capability and decision-making logic. The system further comprises a home mobile device located within Bluetooth range of the IoT device, the home mobile device configured to act as a communication gateway using cellular data connectivity. The system further comprises an application server configured for authentication, coordination, and message routing between devices. The system further comprises a remote mobile device located outside Bluetooth range of the IoT device, the remote mobile device configured to communicate with the IoT device via the application server and the home mobile device using cellular data connectivity. The IoT device dynamically tracks proximity of mobile devices. The application server routes communications based on proximity status. The system operates without dependency on Wi-Fi routers or fixed broadband infrastructure. (Figure 1)
