MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621084889 A) filed by Persistent Systems Limited on July 10, 2026, for System And Method For Recursive Context Expansion Across Context Graphs For Agentic Computing Systems.
Inventors include Mr. Nitish Shrivastava; and Mr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A system [400] and method for recursive context expansion across one or more context graphs for agentic computing systems are disclosed. The system [400] comprises a RootLock selector [410] for selecting root context capsules, a BranchMap generator [420] for generating relationship, dependency, lineage, evidence, governance, freshness, contradiction, materialization and consumption expansion branches, an Expansion Frontier [430] for prioritizing candidate branches, and a DepthGate controller [440] for enforcing recursion controls. An EvidenceTrail expander [450] retrieves supporting evidence, a LineageWalker [460] discovers lineage information, a DependencyScout [470] identifies contextual dependencies, a ContradictionSnare [480] detects contradictory evidence, and a ConfidenceCascade engine [490] propagates confidence values based on evidence and governance constraints. A Context Intelligence Graph [495] stores expanded contexts, evidence, lineage, dependencies, contradiction metadata, governance metadata and confidence values. The system dynamically selects high-utility branches, prunes low-value branches, and packages governed contextual intelligence for autonomous agents, workflows, applications and downstream context derivation engines, enabling scalable, explainable, evidence-backed multi-hop contextual reasoning.
