MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611108246 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Jodhpur on September 09, 2026, for System And Method For Reconstructing High-Resolution Computed Tomography (ct) Images From Low-Resolution Ct Images.
Inventors include Sneha; Gupta, Nivedita; and Paul, Angshuman.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (100) for reconstructing a high-resolution computed tomography (CT) image from a low-resolution CT image includes a processing unit (110) coupled to a memory. The processing unit (110) receives the low-resolution CT image and upsamples it to a spatial resolution. The processing unit (110) executes a residual prediction network (102) to generate a residual representation and combines the residual representation with the upsampled image to generate a coarse high-resolution CT image. A diffusion refinement network (104) receives the coarse high-resolution CT image as a conditioning representation and performs a truncated diffusion process on a noisy high-resolution representation to generate a refined high-resolution CT image. A wavelet fusion module (106) transforms the coarse and refined images into wavelet-domain representations, selects low-frequency information from the coarse image and high-frequency information from the refined image, and combines the information. An inverse wavelet transform generates final high-resolution CT image.
