MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621090482 A) filed by Tolani Maritime Institute on July 24, 2026, for System And Method For Real-Time Thermodynamic State Reconstruction And Refrigeration Cycle Modeling From Plant Data.

Inventors include Dr. Sanjeet Kanungo; Dr. Ganesh Ingle; and Dr. Sagar Mane Deshmukh.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REAL-TIME THERMODYNAMIC STATE RECONSTRUCTION AND REFRIGERATION CYCLE MODELING FROM PLANT DATA The present invention relates to a thermodynamic state reconstruction system (100) and method (200) for a refrigeration plant. The system (100) comprises a data acquisition interface (102) configured to obtain pressure and temperature measurements and a processing unit (104) configured to associate the measurements with refrigeration-cycle state points, reconstruct thermodynamic state variables including enthalpy values using refrigerant-property information and predefined thermodynamic relationships, and generate a thermodynamic cycle representation comprising pressure and enthalpy values. The system (100) further enables selection of operating records based on timestamp information, acquisition of plant data from industrial data sources, reconstruction of multiple refrigeration-cycle states including mixed suction states, and determination of refrigeration performance parameters. The method (200) comprises obtaining (202) measurements, associating (204) measurements with state points, reconstructing (206) thermodynamic state variables, and generating (208) a thermodynamic cycle representation. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
