Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Real-Time Software Vulnerability Detection and Risk Classification The present disclosure relates to a system and method for real-time software vulnerability detection and risk classification. The system builds a software fingerprint and a vulnerability execution graph that represents code, control-flow, data-flow, function-call and dependency relationships given a software artefact. Vulnerability condition profiles are superimposed on the graph and correlated with run-time execution telemetry to reconstruct dynamic execution paths. An exploit-condition verification module that verifies technical vulnerability conditions. An execution exposure state engine that determines vulnerability reachability, runtime execution, input exposure, privilege context, dependency state and environmental conditions. An adaptive risk classification engine dynamically updates its classification of vulnerabilities according to changes in the execution exposure state. – An exposure delta module detects a change in exposure for a vulnerability. A comparison of pre-remediation and post-remediation execution states in an isolated counterfactual verification environment technically verifies that a vulnerable execution path is eliminated, blocked or altered, thus improving real-time detection, selective monitoring and remediation verification.
