Abstract: According to the present disclosure, a method and system for for extracting a plurality of motion-specific features for wrist motion and detection in real-time. The system comprises a sensor unit (110) configured to be mounted on a wrist of a user, a controller unit (120) secured on a wristband (122) and communicably connected to the sensor unit (110), a computing device (140) communicably connected to the controller unit (120) via a wireless communication network (130). The controller unit (120) is configured to receive analog electric signals from the sensor unit, convert it into digital electric signals and transmit in real-time to the computing device. The computing device is configured preprocess the input digital signal for generating a pre-processed signal and automatically extract a plurality of time domain features from a plurality of predefined time domain features, by processing the pre-processed signal from each signal window through the trained AI/ML module.
