MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521118391 A) filed by Terrablu Climate Technologies Private Limited on November 27, 2025, for System And Method For Range-Based Serial Tracking.

Inventors include Arshish Maneckji; Priya Bahirwani; and Gaurav Chandrarkar.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RANGE-BASED SERIAL TRACKING The invention enables scalable, one-to-one serial-number lineage and ownership tracking using an ERC-1155 compatible semi-fungible token structure. A semi-fungible token identifier (SFT-ID) represents one or more serial-number ranges defined by start–end boundaries. Using Mint2Keep, the system mints a token quantity corresponding to those ranges and stores compressed, hex-encoded serial-range and lineage data on-chain, with an off-chain backup maintained for redundancy. For transfers, the TransferRange function receives only a quantity and automatically determines the corresponding serial numbers across one or more SFT-IDs. All affected SFT-IDs are burned, and new SFT-IDs are minted—one to the sender for remaining serials and one to the recipient for transferred serials. MintProof creates an ERC721 NFT representing any Serial numbers that have been burnt. Additional functions, including Mint2Burn, BurnPartial and BurnFull, support creation, subdivision and retirement of serial-number blocks. Each operation emits lineage and ownership-change events, enabling complete reconstruction of per-serial ownership history using on-chain data alone, while preserving redundancy offchain, compatibility and the cost-efficiency inherent to semi-fungible token behaviour.
