Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PURGING HYDROGEN FROM A FUEL RAIL ABSTRACT A system (100) for purging hydrogen from a fuel rail is disclosed. The system (100) includes an absorption block (120) coupled to the intake manifold (100), wherein the absorption block (120) comprising at least one of palladium, palladium-silver, or palladium-carbon. The system (100) also includes a fuel rail valve (130) controlled by an electronic control unit (140) of a vehicle, wherein the fuel rail valve (140) is configured to regulate hydrogen pressure in the fuel rail by selectively absorbing hydrogen into the absorption block (120). The system (100) enhances engine startability, prevents pressure fluctuations, and ensures a safer and more efficient hydrogen-powered internal combustion process. FIG. 1
