MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076738 A) filed by Sesha Sai Sushmitha Sirangu; and Mohana Ravi Teja Gutta on June 21, 2026, for System And Method For Proving Ownership Of A Watermark Embedded In A Digital Asset.
Inventors include Sesha Sai Sushmitha Sirangu; and Mohana Ravi Teja Gutta.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: A method for proving ownership of a watermark embedded in a digital asset is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by one or more processors, ownership data associated with a watermark embedded in the digital asset, wherein the ownership data comprises at least one of a secret key and watermark information. The method includes generating one or more cryptographic representations based on the ownership data. The method includes generating a watermark validation output using a machine-learning model based on the digital asset and the watermark information. The method includes generating a zero-knowledge proof based on the one or more cryptographic representations and the watermark validation output. The method includes transmitting the zero-knowledge proof and one or more public verification parameters to a verification platform. The method includes verifying, by the verification platform, the zero-knowledge proof to establish ownership of the watermark associated with the digital asset. Figures 3
