Abstract: Provided is a programmable direct-current (DC) power supply system (100) for providing a programmable DC power output from a power delivery source. The system (100) comprises a power delivery interface (102) configured to receive power from an external power source (101) supporting a plurality of selectable voltage profiles, a power source communication subsystem (104) configured to communicate with the external power source and obtain a selected input voltage corresponding to a user- selected voltage profile, and an output subsystem (114) comprising a first power path (116) configured to provide the selected input voltage to an output terminal (120) and a second power path (118) comprising a voltage conversion module configured to generate a converted output voltage based on the selected input voltage. The system (100) further comprises a power-path control subsystem (106) configured to selectively connect one of the first power path (116) and the second power path (118) to the output terminal (120) while electrically isolating the other power path, and a controller (110) configured to selectively operate the system (100) in a direct- output mode or an adjustable-output mode.
