MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202643099861 A) filed by M. Sreenivasan; and Anu Mary Chacko on August 19, 2026, for System And Method For Progression-Causal Representation Of Longitudinal Electronic Health Records.

Inventors include M. Sreenivasan; and Anu Mary Chacko.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a system (100) and method for progression-causal representation of longitudinal electronic health records (DaRe-Causal). A computing device (102) having a processor (104) and memory (106) executes a causal delta encoder (110), a counterfactual progression engine (112), a fusion module (114), and a federated delta aggregation module (116). The system (100) processes an inter-visit delta representation containing symbolic clinical transitions, numeric clinical trend information, and temporal information to identify and rank preceding candidate triggering clinical events and generate a causal attribution graph with corresponding causal confidence scores. The system (100) uses a current clinical state, a hypothetical treatment or intervention path, and clinically matched cohort proxies to estimate a counterfactual delta. The system (100) combines the clinical state, inter-visit delta representation, causal attribution graph, and counterfactual delta into a unified causal delta graph representation.
