Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a system for producing polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)-based flat sheet and hollow fiber membranes for efficient filtration of bovine serum albumin and humic acid. The system includes a water feed tank and a feed pump to direct a non-solvent into a spinneret assembly, where polymer and water flow through separate coaxial needles to enable phase inversion, forming hollow fibers. A dope solution tank provides the polymer solution, which undergoes further phase inversion in a coagulation tank, solidifying into a porous membrane. The fibers are then collected onto a wool structure for cartridge formation. Nitrogen pressurizes the polymer solution for smooth, consistent flow. A batch filtration unit with an air compressor and pressure vessel directs the solution to a flat sheet membrane cell, filtering out contaminants, collecting purified permeate, and discarding retentate. This system efficiently produces PVDF membranes with high filtration capacity and structural integrity.
