Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING OXYGEN / CARBON Abstract Disclosed are a system (100) and a method for producing oxygen / carbon by using methane / hydrocarbon gas / water as a raw material. The system (100) utilizes microwaves operating at frequencies of either 2.45 GHz or 915 MHz to generate plasma using a plasma igniter (14) at normal ambient condition within a specially designed plasma reactor (16). This plasma facilitates the splitting of methane / hydrocarbon gas / water molecules into solid carbon nanoparticles / oxygen and hydrogen gas.
