Abstract: A method includes providing fuel and air to a fuel cell system to generate electric power, an anode exhaust and a cathode exhaust, separating at least a portion of water and carbon dioxide from the anode exhaust received from the fuel cell system to form syngas containing at least 50 molar percent of a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, recycling a first portion of the syngas output from the exhaust processing system to the fuel cell system, and providing a second portion of the syngas output from the exhaust processing system to a syngas system to generate a product using the syngas.
