Abstract: The present invention presents a standalone multimodal authentication system that combines facial recognition, iris recognition, and RFID technology for highly secure and reliable identity verification without relying on centralized databases or network connectivity. Biometric encodings derived from both facial features and iris patterns are securely stored directly on RFID cards during registration, enabling fully offline operation. During authentication, the system captures live facial and iris data, retrieves the stored templates from the RFID card, and performs real-time comparison to grant or deny access. This approach significantly enhances security through multimodal verification, protects user privacy, and ensures tamper resistance by write-protecting the RFID card after enrollment. The system is implemented on embedded hardware platforms, making it portable, cost-effective, and suitable for high-security environments where continuous network access is unavailable or undesirable.
