Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for Preventing Aspiration Using a Smart Oral Safety Shield Device The present invention pertains to a system and method for safeguarding against the aspiration of foreign bodies during dental operations using the intelligent oral protection shield device. The invention comprises an intraoral safety shield that is designed to fit into the oropharynx region, where the shield contains an adaptive seal interface that creates a barrier against any foreign bodies. It also has a suction assembly consisting of a primary suction channel that removes fluids and a secondary suction zone that creates a local airflow barrier around the airway. The invention features a retrieval mechanism embedded in the shield that captures and holds any loose dental tools, fragments, and debris from the mouth. The invention also consists of a control mechanism that controls the level of suction according to the intraoral environment. The invention methodology involves placing the shield, creating an adaptive seal, turning on the suction, and collecting debris during the dental process. FIG. 3
