Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a system and method for predictive maintenance using sensor data. The system acquires heterogeneous sensor measurements from a physical asset, temporally aligns the measurements and determines sensor-quality indicators. An adaptive baseline estimator determines expected sensor responses according to a present operating condition, and residual features are generated from differences between measured and expected responses. A health- state estimator determines asset condition from quality-qualified residual features, while a progression engine predicts a maintenance horizon or remaining useful life. A confidence gate withholds a maintenance action when sensor reliability or prediction certainty is insufficient and can initiate re-acquisition or validation. When confidence is sufficient, a maintenance action is generated. After maintenance, further sensor data are evaluated against a verification criterion, and baseline adaptation is permitted only after verified physical recovery, thereby reducing false alarms and preventing unresolved degradation from being incorporated into a healthy reference state.
