Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for predictive failure detection and automated control in fluid pipelines. A sensor layer comprising pressure, flow, vibration, and, optionally, gas-leak sensors is distributed along a pipeline and coupled to an edge processing unit that acquires and preprocesses sensor data. The preprocessed data is transmitted, via WiFi, cellular, or LoRa communication, to a cloud analytics platform that executes a multi-sensor data fusion algorithm evaluating correlated deviations across the sensor channels to compute a composite failure-probability score. The score is classified into graduated risk levels, including normal, early-warning, moderate-risk, and critical-failure conditions. An actuation layer comprising automatically controllable valves executes a control response proportionate to the classified risk level, ranging from a notification alert to an automatic valve shutoff, without requiring manual intervention. Distributed and modular clamp-on housing embodiments are also disclosed.
