Abstract: A system (100) and method for predictive failure-aware reconfiguration in distributed database systems are disclosed. The system (100) includes a memory (102), a processor (104), a communication module (106), a telemetry correlation module (108), a causal failure prediction module (110), and an adaptive reconfiguration module (112). The communication module (106) receives operational telemetry data from distributed database nodes. The telemetry correlation module (108) generates correlated event sequences by associating temporally related operational events across the distributed database environment. The causal failure prediction module (110) analyzes the correlated event sequences to identify precursor conditions corresponding to predicted database instability events and generates predictive failure states prior to occurrence of operational failures. Based on the predictive failure states, the adaptive reconfiguration module (112) autonomously modifies query routing paths, replica selection parameters, workload distribution parameters, or query execution configurations to reduce transaction instability, query disruption, and service degradation within the distributed database environment.
