Abstract: A predictive control system (100) for an industrial microgrid (200) is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a measurement acquisition module (110) receiving electrical and thermal measurements from high-voltage switchgear (202), transformers (203), and distributed energy resources (204); a digital twin module (120) maintaining a real-time computational representation synchronized with the measurements; a physics-informed neural network module (130) computing degradation trajectories of one or more components, including a transformer thermal aging sub-model (131), a switchgear contact wear sub-model (132), and an inverter capacitor degradation sub-model (133); and a topology reconfiguration controller (140) actuating contactors, circuit breakers, and inverters in advance of a predicted fault condition. An auto-islanding logic (141) operating under a programmable criticality matrix (142) transfers critical loads to captive storage in advance of predicted grid faults. The system (100) extends useful life of high-voltage assets and reduces unplanned outage duration. Ref.
