Abstract: A system (102) and a method (300) for predicting remaining life of the capacitor. The system (102) includes a processor (104) to receive parameters including a temperature, a voltage stress, a ripple heating, a humidity, a self-healing activity, a partial discharge, a thermal cycle, a vibration, a switching pulse stress, and a partial- discharge margin from sensing interfaces, determine an acceleration factor associated with aging of the capacitor, calculate a life used value by the capacitor based on the acceleration factor and an operating duration, predict the remaining life of the capacitor based on the life used value and a rated life of the capacitor using a machine-learning model and generate outputs corresponding to the remaining life, an aging condition, or an operational condition of the capacitor. The system (102) enables dynamic aging assessment and prediction of capacitor degradation under varying operating conditions.
