Inventors include Dr. Sayan Sikder; Mr. Shashwat Mishra; Mr. Mayank Kumar Dubey; and Dhruv Jain.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREDICTING DISEASE OUTBREAKS USING ASSOCIATION RULE MINING AND GRAPH NODE CLASSIFICATION The present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method for predicting disease outbreaks. The method includes receiving (100) disease outbreak data comprising disease identifiers, geographic identifiers, and temporal information. The method further includes generating (102, 104) disease-geographic combinations from the disease outbreak data by combining each disease identifier with a corresponding geographic identifier. The method includes constructing (108) a transaction structure wherein each transaction corresponds to a time period and contains disease-geographic combinations occurring in that time period. The method includes applying (110, 112, 114) a frequent pattern mining algorithm to the transaction structure to generate association rules comprising an antecedent and a consequent. The method includes receiving (116) a query comprising a disease-geographic combination and outputting (118) predicted disease outbreaks based on the association rules, wherein the predicted outbreaks correspond to consequents of rules having antecedents matching the query.
