MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641099761 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on August 18, 2026, for System And Method For Predicting And Preventing Corruption Risk And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Asha Jerlin M; and Vishwanth P.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a system (100) and a method (200) for predicting and preventing corruption risk. A user interface (102) receives proposal data. A processor (104) with a memory (106) executes instructions to validate and preprocess the proposal data using a data validation and preprocessing unit (108). A DNA fingerprinting unit (110) encodes structured analytical features into a corruption signature and compares the corruption signature with stored corruption patterns to generate pattern similarity indicators. A simulation unit (112) evaluates simulated governance scenarios and assigns probabilistic scores. A risk scoring and explanation unit (114) computes a corruption risk score and generates explanations. A governance decision unit (116) determines a decision action based on predefined governance policies.
