The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to urban traffic congestion prediction and management using machine learning. The system (100) includes data fusion circuitry (102) that spatially maps and temporally aligns multi-source traffic data to individual road segments, concatenating the aligned data into a unified feature vector. Processing circuitry (104), operatively coupled to the data fusion circuitry (102), executes inference operations on the unified feature vector using a trained machine learning model to output continuous congestion prediction values for each road segment. The processing circuitry (104) assigns congestion severity categories by comparing prediction values against predefined thresholds. Based on assigned severity categories, the system (100) selects alternative routes from a road network graph by ascending aggregate travel time for transmission to a commuter device (106). The system (100) additionally generates emergency routes for transmission to an emergency service device (108) via weighted graph traversal using costs inversely proportional to assigned congestion severity categories.
