MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641085432 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on July 13, 2026, for System And Method For Pre-Deployment Latency Prediction In Microservice Architectures.
Inventors include P. Mohankumar; and Hamsika Gokavarapu.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a computer-implemented system (100) and method for pre-deployment latency prediction in microservice architectures. The system (100) comprises a code-diff acquisition module configured to obtain source-code differences associated with software modifications, a static code analysis module configured to extract latency-relevant code-change characteristics, and a feature encoding module configured to generate structured change vectors. The system (100) further comprises a causal latency graph module configured to maintain a graph representation derived from distributed tracing information and comprising service dependency relationships and latency influence relationships among microservices. A graph-based latency propagation module processes the structured change vectors and the graph representation to generate latency prediction parameters. The system (100) further comprises a prediction confidence evaluation module and a CI/CD integration module configured to generate structured prediction reports corresponding to software modifications. The disclosure further relates to corresponding methods and computer-readable media.
