Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for parallel connectivity and current balancing of battery packs. The system comprises external resistors connected in series with the battery packs to limit inrush current during initial connection, current measuring devices to monitor current distribution, and a controller configured to remove the resistors once the current difference falls below a predetermined threshold. The resistors are realized by selecting suitable wire length and gauge to provide resistance approximately 15 to 25 times the internal resistance of the respective battery packs. Each battery pack is further associated with a battery management system for protection and monitoring. The invention ensures safe parallel operation, dynamic current balancing, improved efficiency, and enhanced operational life of the battery packs.
