Abstract: ABSTRACT [0025] Automotive chassis design, development is quite important in today’s environment. This work presents an optimized approach to designing and analysing the chassis of a light weight vehicle. Achieving the best possible balance between weight reduction and structural integrity while taking into account the unique needs of lightweight vehicles is one of the main goals. Crucial considerations include material selection, load distribution, and crashworthiness, which maximize fuel efficiency and performance while guaranteeing adherence to safety regulations. The study models and simulates the chassis under various operating situations using computer-aided design (CAD) and finite element analysis (FEA) techniques. To confirm the robustness of the design, structural rigidity, durability, and fatigue resistance are assessed. Iterative refinement is used in the optimization process to take into account various design characteristics and find the best possible balance between strength, weight, and manufacturability. The findings of this study contribute to the area of lightweight vehicle engineering by providing insights into the complexities of chassis design, proposing a technique for systematic analysis and optimization, and presenting practical strategies for creating a lightweight yet robust chassis. These discoveries are intended to be useful for automotive engineers, manufacturers, and researchers working on the creation of energy-efficient and high- performance light-weight automobiles.
