Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for optimizing photographic parameters. Firstly, an image data associated with a group of two or more animate objects is obtained using an image capturing device. Thereafter, a plurality of volumetric parameters associated with each animate object is estimated. Using the plurality of volumetric parameters, a relative depth of each of the animate objects is estimated with respect to the first animate object. Further, a set of photographic parameters associated with each of the animate objects is optimised based on the determined relative depths and volumetric parameters.
