The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: A system for automated selection of optimal diagnostic frames from coronary angiography sequences comprises a data acquisition module configured to receive angiographic sequences comprising frames capturing passage of X-ray opaque contrast media through coronary vasculature, a frame extraction module configured to extract individual frames from the received sequences, an artificial intelligence analytical engine configured to process each frame using a deep learning-based segmentation model to generate a vascular mask performing binary vessel/background separation to distinguish contrast-filled coronary vessels from background structures, a scoring module configured to assign a diagnostic quality score to each frame based on the vascular mask wherein the score is determined based on contrast media filling of blood vessels depicted therein, a ranking module configured to order frames by diagnostic quality scores in descending order, and a selection and output module configured to select a highest-scoring frame as the optimal diagnostic frame.
