Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a system and a method for operating a vehicle (100). The system comprises a control unit (104), a vehicle device (106), and a key fob (102). The key fob (102) and the vehicle device (106) operate at least in an advertising mode. The key fob (102) or the vehicle device (106) performs scanning for the vehicle device (106) or the key fob (102), respectively, based on one or more input requests initiated by a user. The key fob (102) establishes a communication channel with the vehicle device (106), or the vehicle device (106) establishes the communication channel with the key fob (102), via a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) communication network, based on the scan. Upon at least the establishment of the communication channel, the control unit (104) may perform vehicle operations based on at least the input requests.
