The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: A system for on-demand delivery of coolant during machining of a workpiece (101) by a cutting tool (115) comprises an infrared thermometer (114) measuring an average machining zone temperature and a controller (113) comparing it with upper trigger and lower stop temperatures predetermined for the tool–workpiece material combination. Above the upper trigger temperature, the controller (113) commands, through a driver (111), a stepper motor (109) that rotates a fluid valve (107) through a flexible coupling (108) to an opening corresponding to the deviation. Cutting fluid flows from a fluid container (105) through the valve into a Minimum Quantity Lubrication setup (103), where compressed air from a compressor (106) atomises it into a mist conveyed to a nozzle (102) directed at the tool–workpiece interface. The fluid valve (107) closes when the temperature decreases to the lower stop temperature, so coolant is consumed only on demand.
