Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for an offline-capable, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered medical diagnostic and patient management platform designed for remote healthcare delivery. The proposed system provides a unified digital health platform that performs preliminary medical diagnosis and manages patient records at the point of care, even in the complete absence of internet connectivity, thereby extending reliable diagnostic support and healthcare record-keeping to rural, remote, and low-connectivity regions. The invention employs an on-device (edge-deployed) machine learning diagnostic engine that analyzes patient vitals, reported symptoms, and historical health records to generate preliminary diagnostic assessments, triage recommendations, and referral suggestions without requiring a live connection to a remote server. Patient data, diagnostic outputs, and consultation records are securely stored on a local patient management module and are subsequently synchronized with a central cloud repository whenever network connectivity becomes available, with the synchronization module resolving data conflicts and merging records generated across multiple offline sessions. The platform further incorporates a decision-support and recommendation engine that combines the offline diagnostic output with configurable clinical protocols to generate confidence scores, risk-stratification indicators, and referral pathways, along with explainable reasoning for each recommendation to support informed decision-making by community health workers and remote practitioners. A telemedicine and remote- consultation module enables real-time or asynchronous consultation with specialists once connectivity is restored, while a continuous learning module periodically retrains the on-device and cloud-based models using newly synchronized patient data to improve diagnostic accuracy over time. By integrating offline-first architecture, edge-based artificial intelligence, secure patient record management, and telemedicine connectivity into a single platform, the invention addresses the challenges of intermittent connectivity, limited specialist availability, and fragmented health records that are characteristic of remote and underserved healthcare settings, thereby improving the accessibility, continuity, and quality of care delivered to such populations.
