Controller (108) includes one or more processors (108A) and a memory (108B) storing instructions for receiving acquired information, identifying occupants (104) and objects present within the monitored environment (102), and determine occupant activities, interactions, movements, gestures, behaviours, or combinations thereof. Controller (108) may further analyze determined activities and behaviours to identify potential threats, suspicious activities, unsafe conditions, aggressive behaviours, violent events, or unauthorized activities, generate a threat assessment, and determine a confidence level associated therewith. When confidence level satisfies predefined criteria, controller (108) may initiate response actions, store event-related information, and transmit alerts and event-related information via a communication interface (110) to a remote monitoring entity (150).
